About Scriptura

Scriptura is a reading room, not a dashboard: a fast, focused tool for reading and studying Scripture. Type a reference or a phrase and be reading in under a second — no ads, no accounts, no plan-of-the-day.

Everything is served locally. Bible translations, commentaries, profiles, and some cross-references are mirrored from the free HelloAO Bible API resources into a local database. Treasury of Scripture Knowledge cross-references are from openbible.info under CC-BY-4.0. Reading and search never wait on an external service. Each translation's license and attribution are shown on its about page, reachable from the footer of every chapter.

The Library collects public-domain primary documents — confessions, catechisms, and creeds — with proof references that link straight into the text.
