33Verse 1Howbeit hear, Job, my words,Verse 2For behold, I have opened my mouth,Verse 3My heart shall be found pure by my words;Verse 4The Divine Spirit is that which formed me,Verse 5If thou canst, give me an answer:Verse 6Thou art formed out of the clay as also I:Verse 7My fear shall not terrify thee,Verse 8But thou hast said in mine earsVerse 9I am blameless, for I have not transgressed.Verse 10Yet he has discovered a charge against me,Verse 11And he has put my foot in the stocks,Verse 12For how sayest thou, I am righteous, yet he has not hearkened to me?Verse 13But thou sayest, Why has he not heard every word of my cause?Verse 14For when the Lord speaks once,Verse 15sending a dream,Verse 16Then opens he the understanding of men:Verse 17To turn a man from unrighteousness,Verse 18He spares also his soul from death,Verse 19And again, he chastens him with sickness on his bed,Verse 20And he shall not be able to take any food,Verse 21Until his flesh shall be consumed,Verse 22His soul also draws nigh to death,Verse 23Though there should be a thousand messengers of death,Verse 24He will support him, that he should not perish,Verse 25And he will make his flesh tender as that of a babe,Verse 26And he shall pray to the Lord, and his prayer shall be accepted of him;Verse 27Even then a man shall blame himself, saying,Verse 28Deliver my soul, that it may not go to destruction,Verse 29Behold, all these things the Mighty One worksVerse 30And he has delivered my soul from death,Verse 31Hearken, Job, and hear me:Verse 32If thou hast words, answer me:Verse 33If not, do thou hear me:
