HOXON (sandy). 1. A town in the mountains of Judah, one of the first group, of which Debir was apparently the most considerable, Josh 15:51; Josh 21:15; called Hilen in 1 Chr 6:58. Conder proposes Beit 'Alam, as its site. A city of Moab, Jer 48:21, in the plain-country, east of the Jordan.
